Shane Sweetnam and Little Emir Speed to Win at $20,000 Suncast 1.50m at Final WEF Circuit Show
April 03rd, 2010

Wellington, FL - April 4, 2010 - The final Suncast 1.50m Classic was held Saturday afternoon in the International Arena. With $20,000 in prize money, a strong field came out to contest. The fastest in the jump-off for the win was Shane Sweetnam (IRL) on Little Emir, owned by Spy Coast Farms LLC. Schuyler Riley (USA) and Navalo de Poheton, owned by Wolfstone Stables, finished second, while Georgina Bloomberg and Gotham Enterprizes’ Metropolitan were third.

“I think it was a nice course, built to 1.50m and straightforward enough. I think that’s the right thing. By the end of the circuit, it’s the right thing to do to give some people a chance to step up with their horses,” Sweetnam explained. “There are some people gone now, so that people can go into a class like this, be competitive, and teach their horses something. I thought it was built just right. In the second round, you needed a good bit of rideability with the turn back to the wall and the combination. I think it was an ideal first round. Anthony is a clever guy. He’ll build it nice so you can step up.” read more here:
