King Kolibri is an internationally proven competitor with a noteworthy pedigree to match. His sire, Kolibri, is an important stallion in Eastern Europe where he sired many respectable show jumpers. King Kolibri’s dam, Athletica, won the final of the Toscana Tour for 7 year olds. Athletica’s sire Libero H, is considered to be the most influential stallion of the past decade.

In the beginning of his career, Jos Lansink successfully piloted the stallion around many Grand Prix tracks. In 2011 his results included 6th place in the CSI5* Prix Europa in Aachen, 7th in the CSI5* Dublin Grand Prix, 3rd in the CSI5* 1.50 in St Gallen, and 10th in the 1.45 CSI5* in Rome.

In 2011, King Kolibri was sold to American rider, Lauren Tisbo. The pair’s first big result together was a 5th place finish in the $500,000 CSI5* Grand Prix in Wellington, FL and a 4th place finish in the CSI5* Queens Cup at Spruce Meadows. During 2013, they had top results in Wellington, FL including a 6th place finish in the CSI3* Grand Prix.

As a breeding stallion, King Kolibri has over 30 offspring in Europe. Bjorn H, a 2006 stallion by King Kolibri, is currently showing successfully in 1.35-1.40m level competitions (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNzc8x2uLwU) The 2006 stallion, King Julio, is competing in 1.40m classes and qualified for the World Breeding Finals in Lanaken 2 years in a row(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9jLNY_sAbs). Overall, King Kolibri is proving to be both a top competitor as well as a top producing stallion.
