Lottie W (aka Lazuli)
Nimmerdor-Ramiro-Farn, Zottie Stam
1993 16.0-1/2h Dark Bay KWPN Mare
Keur Sport (Spr)
BWP Elite Mare
A direct daughter of the Stallion of the Century, Nimmerdor, Lottie W combines a sterling pedigree with an impressive performance career, which saw this stalwart competitor always at the top of the leader board. Paired with American Grand Prix rider Schuyler Riley, Lottie W earned her Sport predicate in 1.45-1.50m classes across North America. She then became a Junior and Children’s Jumper schoolmaster and helped launch the young careers of Paris Sellon and Rachel Udelson.
Lottie descends from the famous Dutch mare family, the Zottie line. Her dam, grand-dam, great-grand-dam and great-great-grand dam are all Preferent and Prestatie mares (the two highest predicates given to Dutch mares other than the Crown title), a very rare occurrence in any mare line and proof positive of the international performance production power of this family. Lottie’s mother, Elottie W, a direct daughter of the celebrated Ramiro, has produced 20 foals to date, including seven international competitors and two approved stallions. Her grand-dam, Oklahoma, was also prolific producer of both jumping and dressage competitors. The most famous being Bernie Traurig’s Grand Prix partner, Maybe Forever. The pair combined for many Grand Prix wins and placed 5th at the World Cup finals in 1992.
Lottie herself is interestingly bred as she carries two crosses to the Holsteiner stallion, Farn, who was sought out in 1962 by the Dutch breeding committee to upgrade the Dutch breed. Today, Farn is best known as the sire of Nimmerdor and his dynasty of show jumping competitors and progenitors and in the dressage world, the grand-sire of Olympic Ferro. A producer of equally good sons and daughters, Farn’s progeny were well known for their power and ability and their strong will; handled well, his offspring would give to their last breath. And giving that little bit more is what makes Farn descendants superior, rock-hard horses, full of courage; a quality that shines through in Lottie W.
Lottie W is the dam of Rotrac (by Burggraaf), Kanoodle SCF (by Cobra One), and Lazuli II SCF (by Numero Uno). She is in foal to the KWPN stallion and Grand Prix competitor, Verdi (Quidam de Revel-Landgraf –Calypso I) for a 2012 foal.
