Coming Fall 2026- NEW Tier 1 & Tier 2 Internships for Undergraduate Students
At the Spy Coast Education Department, our mission has always been to provide meaningful, hands-on educational experiences that prepare students for successful careers in the equine industry.
Historically, our internship program has been a full-time, immersive opportunity—six days a week, 48 hours per week, with paid employment and housing provided. While this model has been incredibly impactful, we recognized that many full-time students with academic or scheduling limitations were unable to participate and, as a result, missed out on valuable educational resources and mentorship.
To address this, we are excited to introduce a two-tiered internship program designed to increase accessibility without compromising educational quality.
Tier One remains our full-time, immersive internship experience. Tuition will now be associated with this tier supports the cost of skills lab materials, educational programming, field trip experiences, and other hands-on learning opportunities offered throughout the internship.
Tier Two is a flexible, unpaid internship option that allows students to participate through part-time or volunteer-based blocks. Tier Two interns will have access to skills labs, recorded monthly educational lectures and events, and the same professional mentorship from our Education Department.

We are committed to ensuring that financial barriers never prevent a student from participating. Scholarships and payment plan options are available for Tier One interns to support accessibility and inclusion.
Thank you for supporting our continued efforts to expand educational opportunities and meet students where they are.
