Spy Coast Farm recognizes that each young horse is unique and that some may require a customized training program to suit their specific needs. Mental and physical growth patterns vary widely among horses and our well-trained, flexible staff is able to accommodate these differences. Our development team includes staff and riders who specialize in starting young horses, 3 day eventing, hunters, jumpers, and showing. The multi-disciplinary approach we employ allows us to address the needs of the horses we train. We assess our young horses early and often and we involve our two resident veterinarians in every step of that process. Our horses are able to take advantage of our fitness facility to optimize their training regime and our in-house farrier and dental services ensures optimal continuity of care.

One of the fundamental strengths of the European breeding system is the ability to show young horses affordably and in classes that are designed to showcase a young horse's talent, while simultaneously building their exposure and their confidence. Spy Coast Farm has teamed up with the North American Studbook to offer the Young Horse Show Series to help fill this void in the North American market.

Specifically designed to promote age appropriate training, education, and showing opportunities for horses aged  yearling through five, the series offers a low-cost way to give your horse more exposure. Most of our young horse's progress through the Young Horse Show Series before advancing onto the next step of their training and competition endeavors.
